DC Catholic Charities punishes everyone to ‘remain faithful’
Catholic Charities in Washington, D.C., announced March 1 that it will not offer spousal health insurance to any new employees or any current employees who don’t already have it.
The extraordinary move came just two days before same-sex couples started receiving marriage licenses in the district.
Charities President Edward Orzechowski claimed the move was necessary to “remain faithful to the church’s teaching.”
The Vatican teaches Catholics that gay sex is a “mortal sin” that condemns one who engages in it to “hell” unless he or she confesses, is “absolved” by a priest, and then “sins” no more.
